Nhandu coloratovillosus - Brazilian Black & White
Description:
Scientific Name: Nhandu coloratovillosus
Common names: Brazilian Black & White | Bombardier Tarantula
Nhandu coloratovillosus is another great looking tarantula for your collection. Black and white striped legs, as well as a dark abdomen covered in long reddish setae/hair make this tarantula look pink, fluffy and adorable! Don’t be fooled though, handling this tarantula is not advised as their temperament varies widely from specimen to specimen and also from one moment to the next.
The female specimen photographed here was nervous and panicky when we removed her from her enclosure to photograph, but moments later she just sat still and didn’t move for the next 10 minutes, and then got all nervous again. So as we always try to impress on all hobbyists, get to know your specific specimen.
